i live in switzerland and never made a list of the best places to visit. so here's my personal picks - St. Moritz if you're into winter. alpine resort famous for winter sports, frozen lake events, sunny climate, and hosting the Winter Olympics twice - Bellinzona if you like aesthetic places. known for its three medieval castles, beautiful old town, and the Castles of Bellinzona (a unesco site) - Appenzell colorful houses, strong traditions, alpine culture, local cheese, and great hiking in the Appenzell Alps - Bern had to mention the capital. medieval old town, the zytglogge clock tower, and the aare river running through it - Geneva international organizations like the un, the jet d'eau fountain, and lake geneva - Lauterbrunnen Valley 72 waterfalls, steep cliffs, alpine villages, and staubbach falls. looks like something out of a movie - Lucerne lake lucerne, the wooden chapel bridge, and mountain views that don't feel real - Zermatt car-free village. skiing and the matterhorn just sitting there looking perfect this is just what i like. depends on what you're into. there's way more but these are my go-tos small country but you basically get everything here. still feels unreal sometimes
