The Liverpool situation is complex. Arne Slot profiles as an elite manager. That remains a fact. Not flawless, but it's a winning model, even if the fans have turned on him this year. That's why they should keep him. But I'd also argue Xabi Alonso is the best man for the job.

The moment the likes of Milner and Henderson retire, it is vital they join the coaching or training team of whoever is managing this club.
It is these exact standards the club requires and we need these type of characters back to implement it all consistently.

Just seems to make a ton of sense to get Nunez back for a season, especially given the Ekitike injury.
Badly missed the aggression, desire and intensity he brought, even if the finishing could drive you insane at times.
Given the squad overhaul, some LFC familiarity would help.
