I'm going to catch a lot of flack from the sworn House of the Dragon haters, but I genuinely think everything this show has done with Ormund Hightower and Prince Daeron in just one episode is more interesting than anything GRRM ever wrote for them in Fire and Blood 🤷🏽 So many of the figures in the Dance barely qualify as characters and the choice to have Daeron raised by Ormund completely, who, driven by his own ambition and religious doctrine wishes to supplant the Targaryens because he considers them freaks that stand above the god-given order of things in Westeros... That is compelling! That is a fascinating villain and a great dynamic with the young prince! I really like this storyline.
