@PrideslayerMMA but the hardest CAs in both games imo are not the speeds (gn to zam gm) but the mechanical ones that overload your mental stack. Like pDoom and UO Amascut are both very challenging CAs imo, its hard to directly compare them. Honestly OS made me better at counting ticks and moving

Yeah honestly right now I'm having a lot of trouble with doom CA on my iron, I get what you mean slander I don't even think it was the right word on my part. 🤝 I find RuneScape 3 combat to be very easy in comparison and I mostly main ranged. It feels like I actually have to know how to move on Old School while being able to simultaneously do other input with my mouse and that's my biggest issue. Like maybe you'll have an interesting take on this but it feels like the most movement heavy boss is hm nakatra when you have so many things on old school that require being able to move, prayer and gear switch. Like even cg feels harder than hardmose

well, as someone who has killed everything on rs3, osrs combat is much harder and you have to be way more precise. when i'm running out of food i can't soulsplit and resonance to full health and outright the bosses on osrs are harder. learning a convoluded rotation isn't "Difficult" would love to see these rs3 players do colo, or doom. osrs takes mechanics they both have and makes it infinitely harder, there is literally nothing like colo,doom,inferno, moons, olm, tob etc on rs3.

@PrideslayerMMA in any case, my real opinion is that the absolute pinnacle level of pvm in both games are both really hard in their own ways. osrs is more demanding on click accuracy and rs3 is more demanding on rotational knowledge. CAs might not be a good comparison point coz of big powercreep

@PrideslayerMMA OS requires a lot more mouse control and is more movement oriented ye, that was the hardest part. But I think tile markers make it much more manageable. ppl with a lot of efficient clueing exp in rs3 would probably adjust better to oldschool

I love when people like to add a nice little slander like anyone who has an issue switching is a macroer when all I have to do to completely swap gear on RuneScape 3 is roll my fingers across f keys versus clicking manually on six different items while also switching my prayers manually.

@HanweirGarrison @karsten_frank Ah, it's with deadly cover up, if you exile the land after it goes to graveyard it doesn't return, because it changed zones before the delayed earthbend trigger could resolve. Or atleast I think that's how that works 😂

People that don’t shuffle their library in between their Mind’s Dire copies are cheating and increasing their odds on flipping land off the top. Every time you shuffle you increase your odds of getting a non land. If someone wants to “shortcut” this process. CALL A JUDGE !!!

@hvmesickk @ExactlyPWNED that makes sense yeah, I dged a lot pre eoc and have only done a few hrs post. it does feel a lot different, but I liked that eoc has some micro optimizations too like barging certain mobs or resetting dive on trashmobs to move faster etc. but for sure pre eoc was an experience

i’m actually confused how they took dungeoneering and made it suck (corrupted gauntlet)

@ExactlyPWNED @magicalivia you missed the most important part, instead of spending your time skilling for t1 armour and food every run you got to spend your time figuring out the optimal way to traverse the layout and solve puzzle rooms instead. cg was legit all the bad of dg and 0 good, tragic

@magicalivia instead of fighting hunleff everytime as the final boss you had 30 different ones, you used your skills to unlock doors, you got to play with a team, there were rare drops you could get and "bind" to your character permanently, and all the rewards were OP

OSRS is hilarious because there is at least 1,000 people who played more than this in 2025, most likely more
