I've tended to think this for many years. Though elite ultimate does also feed back to grassroots, I'm not sure it's always a balanced transaction.

HOT TAKE = Grassroots experiences - not national competitions - will define the future of ultimate as a sport. Visibility & exposure & legitimacy (whatever that means) aren’t worth much if we can’t offer safe & high quality experiences for new players in local communities.
