I think cutting Young Griff did more damage to Daenerys’ story than any other adaptation change. If Westeros accepts Young Griff before she arrives, Daenerys isn’t returning to reclaim her birthright anymore. She’s invading a kingdom that has already chosen another ruler. Suddenly, she’s seen as the invader or even the usurper That changes everything. Was cutting Young Griff the biggest mistake the show made with Dany?
