@BlameVenom This post - and the comments within - is stupid. Who the hell would sabotage their own player/team? Could it be… Oh I don’t know… they are simply all playing poorly? You have to give a lot more respect to Kelsey Mitchell and the rest of the players.

Angel Reese has opened Year 3 ranked top 10 among frontcourt players in three of the league’s five main statistical categories while also averaging (12.3) points per game, and tomorrow she’ll look to help the Atlanta Dream pick up its fifth win of the season when they face the Portland Fire. In the Dream’s last outing, Reese attempted just eight shots in a loss to the Minnesota Lynx. Atlanta has dropped to (1-2) this season when Reese takes fewer than 10 shot attempts, compared to a perfect (3-0) record when she attempts more than 10. Her playmaking has also continued to trend upward, as Reese has recorded nine total assists over her last two games. Last season, she ranked third among forwards in assists while with the Chicago Sky.

@SoularDaGod @cbrennansports @brianstelter My point is, even I heard of Caitlyn Clark. And I was intrigued and became a fan. I think Sabrina is fine - but I am now that I’ve heard of her, I still I don’t follow her career. Obviously, a lot of people agree with me: CC is different and exciting. There’s your answer.

@cbrennansports @brianstelter I just watched your interview on PBS News Hour, and I thank you for your candid responses. I'll have to check out the book but I do wonder why players like Sabrina Ionesco who weren't at a collegiate mainstay didn't get the notoriety that Caitlin did for the same style of play?

@SoularDaGod @cbrennansports @brianstelter I can answer this, at least from a rudimentary, personal perspective. I never heard of Sabrina Ionescu until I heard of Caitlyn Clark. And I heard about CC a lot, even though I don’t follow traditional American sports much (pro or college) don’t watch TV news, ESPN, etc

@Thereal3037 @Sudharsan_AK10 Finally, women’s basketball has had many great players and moments. Also, Caitlin Clark is the most popular women’s player ever, was a great college player, and will probably be a great WNBA player. I’m sorry your bias is so glaring that you are unable to acknowledge this.

@Thereal3037 @Sudharsan_AK10 So when you examine all of the facts, Clark deserved to be on the Olympic team on merit alone. If you factor in her popularity - which only helps everyone else, btw - it’s a no-brainer. This is all independent of what one thinks of Christine Brennan or the WNBA.

@Thereal3037 @Sudharsan_AK10 I started watching women’s college basketball and the WNBA last year, because of Caitlin. This doesn’tmake me MAGA or devalue my opinion or fandom. Also, your chart doesn’t show assists, rebounds, steals, or blocks. I wonder why. 🤔

@TimKennedyMMA Then you should have voted for Harris. Instead, I’m sure you voted for the insurrectionist, rapist and indicted felon. Like so many of your other white male compatriots.

@___bnp I don’t think you were wrong at all. She cost them the world record by slowing up at the finish. It wasn’t a big slow up, but they only missed the world record by a 10th of a second

@TheRealPDQ @AccountableGOP “I thought Trump was America’s Hitler, until my Dom, Peter Thiel, got Trump to endorse me, buy me a Senate seat, and make me VP! All it cost me is my eternal fealty and soul! Now I love tossing Donald’s salad more than Peter’s!” Ah, The Dunning-Kruger Effect on full display.
