"Another school that earned approval from inspectors was Talmud Torah London....The school, rated good overall, teaches boys from 5 to 13."

@spitzer_eli Hi Eli, we haven’t released a physical sample just yet - they will be coming in the next few of weeks. You can see plenty of info in our webinar recording here though: whiterosemaths.com/professional-d…

@JahrSchwartz@Am_Yisroel_Chai@FriedaVizel I am hasidic, and the chosid of a rebbe just like my father and grandfather. No idea who you are or what you're talking about
@Am_Yisroel_Chai@FriedaVizel@spitzer_eli I think family Spitzer were loosely associated with Belz in postwar London. Uniquely, in London, chassidim of current Belzer Rebbe broke away to form new community. Original Belz became 'misnagdim' with no Rebbe. Eli's Father grew up with no Rebbe so 2nd generation non-chassidic.
"Those who want Hasidic schools to improve don’t have to approve of the community's way of life but, if they wish to succeed, they do have to understand it." - My response to @thetimes investigation

Looking for an authentic portrayal of the Hasidic community? Ignore sensationalized Netflix shows and watch @FriedaVizel's beautiful YouTube channel. Her storytelling offers a unique perspective that you won't find anywhere else. Start with this one:

I'm collecting articles about schools that ban access to smartphones during the school day. Please send. So far they all report educational benefits. Are there any schools that found that learning (or anything else) suffered?

"It isn't—it cannot be—our special duty as Jews, let alone our very reason for existing, to seek the revival of a rival religion" mosaicmagazine.com/response/polit…
To @spitzer_eli, Jews must not dedicate their educational efforts towards a civilization that isn't their own. The architects of Jewish classical education would do well to remember that mosaicmagazine.com/response/polit…
As a new documentary shows, for too many Jewish celebrities the only important part of their Jewish identity is being recognized as a member of a persecuted group (via @spitzer_eli) mosaicmagazine.com/observation/po…
"While, historically, many Jews have abandoned their faith and people in order to shed the burdens of being a loathed minority, the post-Jew does the opposite: clinging desperately to that legacy of persecution as the essence of being as a Jew."

Long but fascinating article about the society in which I live. Nearly a year old, but more relevant in light of the current attempts to form a government in Israel.
