going to say this again since i got not one, but TWO similar messages after posting about my 12 hour shifts…not everyone with a job can afford extra luxuries. nurses do NOT get paid what you obviously think they get paid. yes, i realize i am lucky enough to be employed at all, have a roof over my head, and groceries in the fridge. not everyone has that. everyone’s financial situation is different. i think people should donate to who they are comfortable with supporting, and if that’s not me because i have a job, that’s ok! no hard feelings at all! all i can do everyday is my best, i wish i was swimming in money but i’m not, and that’s just what it is. also, next time i get a message like this, i’m not blocking out names. 🖤!
