like, if their deals with amazon or netflix fall through, they’ll still be able to sustain themselves as a company? it’s not like they’ve been acquired or 100% rely on funding from bigger media corporations. they’re absolutely still independent.

i like some of their shows but i’ve recently drifted away from glitch because of they’re controversies and intense unprofessionalism. but also it’s simply untrue that they’re not independent just because they own copyright or receive additional funding.

that’s…not how that works? owning copyrights to shows doesn’t determine if you’re an independent studio or not? and glitch isn’t even funded by netflix, that’s a licensing agreement.

something i feel like people should understand is that glitch isnt an indie studio anymore no matter how much they try to say they are. If glitch owns the copyrights to shows that are made, instead of the show's creators, then by definition, they aren't indie anymore.

@spoontoof i think it is, while it sucks they added an ai thing they actually let you turn it off and KEEP it off. it also got a built-in ad blocker & stuff like that plus i get to design my browser at the top its pretty cool
