seems like LakersNation and the paid people are making sure to focus on individual awards and glazing individuals..... this is a winning streak, focus on team play and the bigger picture....... stop doing a disservice to basketball talk

@ringstalk @tylerbritton_ spreadsheet kings will look for data to diss a player... Kawhi played in a system and played it to perfection... i guess he shoulda spammed p&r and never won, maybe than these bums would give him respect.

I find this to be a really interesting conversation, because at Kawhi's defensive peak (2013-16), he wasn't expected to do a ton of heavy lifting on offense. LeBron, on the other hand, peaked as a defensive player from 2009-13, while being the best offensive player on the planet and carrying tons of on-ball responsibility. In a world where LeBron gets to be more of a defensive specialist, I believe he had the tools to be one of the GOAT defenders. The way he sees and understands the game, the freak range as an athlete, verticality, and ability to switch 1-5. He could be your POA stopper, your backline roamer, or your switch big. The ultimate defensive chess piece.

Richard Jefferson on Lakers fans saying they won’t miss LeBron James when he leaves: “I’m here in LA, we got a lot of loyal deep Lakers fans, I was born in LA, I grew up a Lakers fan so I know it. But, it’s always those Kobe slash Lakers fans that are like we not going to miss him. And I’m like, you not going to miss a dude who brought a championship, keep the Lakers scoring record, like a Lakers record. Took you to a conference finals. Like, I’m sorry there was a gap between Magic, Shaq and Kobe. There was a gap between Shaq and Kobe, Kobe and Pau. There was a gap between Kobe and Pau to LeBron and AD. When Bron leaves there is going to be a gap between, it’s already it’s 2020, we in 2026 now. There is going to be another championship gap.” (Via @RoadTrippinShow)

Kendrick Perkins on Cade Cunningham injury and what that does for the Detroit Pistons: “Hopefully he comes back, like right before the playoffs start. Because we need Cade in the playoffs. We are on the verge of having one of the best playoffs, like we don’t what’s going to happen, full of superstars, guys playing at elite level. But they need him like old people need soft shoes.” (Via @RoadTrippinShow)

@LAbound2 And like clockwork I've already heard "he had a bad game"... As long as he's giving that type of effort on defense I don't care what the scoring is Scary part is when the Lakers put another wing defender on the roster, AR's nights will get a lot easier

At what point do we start discussing Reaves as a plus defender? In the last week, AR has made life hell for the following players in closing time of must win games: Nikola Jokic Kevin Durant Alperen Sengun AR scaling up v much bigger players has been critical to LAL defense

During the 2001 WCFinals on @CBSSports: “Jerry Buss who owns the Lakers & owned the ball club for a long time now. Just told me he can’t think of ANY LAKER who’s playing at the level KOBE BRYANT is playing at over the past month., maybe with the exception of MAGIC JOHNSON. [Jerry] said it’s just stupefying & astonishing that [Kobe] has done so well, and maybe other than Magic he can’t recall another Laker including all of the great Lakers (Worthy, Kareem, etc) playing the way Kobe Bryant is playing.” ————————————————— Over that month KO8E averaged: 34.1 PPG 8.0 REB 5.6 AST STLK 2.0 on 58% TS #Frobe 🐍🐐
