@xswtohl @BlackCat_Dandy Also xerxes looked weird, but was still a warlord.
Marvel changed thora whole character other than having a hammer and being the Nordic god of thunder.
Im not sure how xerxes character was changed other than appearance, so please tell me so I know in the future.
English

@xswtohl @BlackCat_Dandy The hero. They want the contrast of opposing forces/appearance.
Its why its not common for villains to be attractive, or normal looking. It happens, but not often.
There isnt any inherent bias or hatred. Not from one character design of a villain in a story.
English

300 never claimed to be accurate, it's based on a COMIC BOOK.
And they made it ACCURATE TO THE COMIC BOOK.

The Real Brittany Guy@brittany_guy_rl
@BlackCat_Dandy Don't know. But not like this. I also know Persians didn't look like this either.
English

@xswtohl @BlackCat_Dandy I'm not saying 300 is right. Just you mentioning making a comic on greek gods, and changing an appearance. Is quite literally what happened with Thor.
It's a movie based on a comic book, which was never said to be accurate. It is loosely based on a historical event. That's it.
English

@xswtohl @BlackCat_Dandy I never said it was insulting I also do not believe xerxes was insulting either
Also marvel thor is appealing in looks, but when there's accurate versions of thor. People bitch and complain about how ugly or fat he is.
1/
English

@xswtohl @BlackCat_Dandy I mean, the most popular and widely known interpretation of Thor is because of a comic book, which was made into a movie.
English

@BlackCat_Dandy and what that comic book was based on? :)))
let's make similar comic books on greek gods or whatever, let's make a comic book on odyssey or whatever else story, why not? :))))

@BWall_17 @MrJabCross @Smug9991 @JuiceMan_V Because the whole thing about AI art in games, is it starts small and companies push what they can use it for. As soon as we accept a small use of it, other companies follow. Then one pushes a bit more, and others follow.
Things like this slowly snowball into an actual problem.
English

@MrJabCross @Smug9991 @JuiceMan_V Exactly. My whole view on AI is that it’s absolutely fine to use as long as no one is losing their job to it. The random art on the walls is ugly but impacts exactly 0% of the actual art direction of the game lol
English

In reality, who gives a fuck?
But all the anti-AI warriors who purchased this game needs to step to the front, please 😏
KAMI@Okami13_
AI art has been found in Crimson Desert. This wall painting was spotted in the game and is clearly AI generated. There are other potential examples as well, incredibly disappointing.
English

@Dikkussu @UzairMan @MidAir91717547 @ItsCass9 @staypressedd @AtavusShadow @kidsmoove You just posted a picture of games that were released 15 years ago during the peak of the console era. Of course their steam charts are going to look ass. 90% of marketing at the time was aimed towards console.
I agree with you that gameplay is king, but those examples...
English

It's not, I've already given examples of amazing games that are extremely successful but have no story. The Telltale Games and Quantic Dream stuff aren't video games, they're interactive movies/graphic novels. They have their audience, but it's definitely not the actual gamer crowd.
On the other hand, there are actual video games with great stories and narrative but terrible gameplay so nobody plays them. Here are two examples.

English

@novestneckup @Captain_Phyco @xAShadowCatx @KhrazeGAMING Reusing assets that are still upto date, is literally how game development works.
Do you think fromsoft made ever asset for elden ring from scratch?
Do you think Naughty dog didn't reuse assets from TLOU1 remake for TLOU2?
It's just the game dev cycle. Recycle where you can.
English

@Captain_Phyco @xAShadowCatx @KhrazeGAMING game development isn’t ripping off ur own slop mmorpg and putting it into a 70$ game dumbass, i hope somebody kills you for this shit take

@Oga_Sig @wegrospiritual @iamrobothead Like, it's been known for decades that Keanu isn't a great actor. He did great in matrix, and John Wick. Nobody can replace him in those. However, he's tried playing more dramatic roles, and his acting is always flat.
He's known more for his Charisma than his great acting talent.
English

@sprBrendon @wegrospiritual @iamrobothead They are not good actors but are some of the biggest actors. People be saying anything on here.
English

Because he can't act. I love him but he lives off charisma. And that's not a bad thing.
👑 J³ABz👑@Jabz_CFC
Keanu Reeves has never won an Oscar, Golden Globe, or Emmy Award of any kind. In fact, he has never even been nominated for any of those awards.
English

@Hercules_wins @wegrospiritual @iamrobothead Keanu has tried dramatic movies, and his acting is flat. It's been known that he doesn't have depth in his action. However, he found what works for him. Nobody can play the role of Neo, or John Wick after what he did. He found his schtick, and it works phenomenally.
English

@sprBrendon @wegrospiritual @iamrobothead Couldn’t it be because of the roles they choose? We have seen actors being type cast to one type of role, break out for roles that demands it
English

@wegrospiritual @iamrobothead Keanu is a fantastic physical actor. Much like Jackie Chan. However emotional and dramatic acting, which is what is always favoured amoungst technique. They're not strong.
Ryan brings a lot of charisma, and likability in his roles. Deadpool isn't much different from van wilder.
English

I suppose choreography of action sequences in films like Matrix and the Wick series are different from actin too, as those'r based off marital arts, which are real sports and physical techniques.
I will say though, Reynolds definitely brings Deadpool to life. Deadpool & Wolverine was the only MCU piece of media I willingly went out of my way to watch in 2024 as a former Marvel movie fan.
English

@wegrospiritual @iamrobothead Ryan Reynolds has charisma, but is not a good actor.
Same with keanu. Although we all love keanu as a person. He isn't a good actor when it comes to the technique or acting skill. You can't have him playing in a movie like dallas buyers club, but you can for sure have him in JW.
English

@iamrobothead Ok, maybe it's not simple.
What you're tryin to say is, charisma is a type of attitude that you need to be able to well up from within yourself, and display it as a tool in order to draw an audience in, is that it?
English

@VaktorTV @followdunc I would want to say Tenz but Sen and Tenz had an awful 2023 and he’s now retired. Granted Tenz is the only player to win two Masters Events but I’d argue Aspas would be more of a Faker figure for Valorant as of right now.
English

@0megalvl3vent @laffinloofen @PicturesFoIder I'd agree, but most western and middle eatern cultures had beer being produced throughout the ages. Even mordern day beer has no country who "invented" it. Germany produced some of the larger beer brewery's, but didn't invent modern beer.
English

@sprBrendon @laffinloofen @PicturesFoIder Well... If you want to get technical about it, sure, Sumerians did.
But.
It's like the pizza, invented by Greeks (in archaic form) but everyone knows it's Italian.
Modern beers is what I meant.
English

@laffinloofen @PicturesFoIder You seem to think they invented beer. 😂
Germans invented beer and that's what always gets done, people don't "defoam" beers.
English

@JustynRoman5 @BA_SF_CA @jasondebolt @icedawg7 @PicturesFoIder It would be far more sustainable and more environmentally friendly if we had reusable ones. I agree with you there.
My point was they were never advertised as protecting yourself, but more to protect others from yourself. It was to slow the spread, not contracting covid.
English

@sprBrendon @BA_SF_CA @jasondebolt @icedawg7 @PicturesFoIder weforum.org/agenda/2020/06…
Their main purpose wasn’t a bad one but boy did they fail at making something that wasn’t so wasteful in the long run. It makes more sense having reusable ones you can disinfect and clean but we were told they didn’t do the job🤦🏽♂️
English

@JustynRoman5 @BA_SF_CA @jasondebolt @icedawg7 @PicturesFoIder Crazy because they were never meant for protection from yourself catching it, but more a preventative measure to spreading it around.
Mask manufactures had to start putting that on their boxes, because people were confusing the two.
English

@BA_SF_CA @jasondebolt @icedawg7 @PicturesFoIder You’re that rattled about a mask not doing it’s job? At least they tell you it doesn’t work
