A fantastic day at Xcelerate at Edgbaston delivering a hospitality taster session with Compass and DWP. 32 trainees took part in hands-on sessions across bar, barista and kitchen. Great to welcome local MP Al Cross, who saw first-hand the impact of opening doors into hospitality

By Royal Ap-pint-ment! 🍺 The King has officially opened the Guinness Open Gate Brewery London. His Majesty met Diageo’s Learning for Life hospitality graduates, tasted brews exclusive to the site, and joined a festive celebration with local community groups in Old Brewer’s Yard. Guinness Open Gate Brewery London stands on what was once Combe & Co., an 18th Century powerhouse in Covent Garden’s booming brewing district of the time. In 1901, Guinness Extra Stout was bottled on this very site under Combe, Watney and Reid. Diageo’s Learning for Life programme offers free hospitality training for those looking to build careers in the industry.
