#toptiptuesday -a Kim's game for speech sounds. Collect objects with the target sound - here /p/ at the start of words. Talk about them with the child so they practise saying the words. Cover/hide the items & remove one -they need to say what's missing #SLCN #speechtherapyideas

1/2 Today's #toptiptuesday is to be mindful of body language with children with #SLCN as they're often very aware of people's non verbal reactions e.g. if they stammer, their speech is tricky to understand, they find it hard to explain their thinking or follow instructions.

1/2 Our 2nd #toptiptuesday this school year. We love using objects like old toys in therapy. This is a football racetrack for a child who needs to practise saying words beginning with /f/. He had to give instructions to the footballer (see 2nd post...) #slcn #speechtherapyideas
