Every release introduces new quick fixes to make your life easier when working with Spring projects. This time, we added a quick fix to easily add a configuration class to your Spring Cloud LoadBalancer client annotation - in case this link is missing. Enjoy! 🥳😎

One of the fixes in the recent @springtools4 release to reduces cognitive load and clutter on the UI: multiple component-defining annotations on the same class don't cause multiple bean symbols being created anymore - for a more precise, clean, and easy-to-use experience 😀

@springtools4 @starbuxman isn't constructor params with final fields the recommended way? Shouldn't we have warning for that?

In preparation of "final" really meaning final in an upcoming Java version (see JEP 500), we added a validation that flags the use of final on autowired fields, which works today, but not in the near future - and is not really the recommended way to use autowired anyway 😉 😎

Do you prefer nicely formatted text blocks for your query annotations when using Spring Data? @springtools4 has an option now to produce exactly those when turning repository AOT metadata into query annotations 😍

Using some of the Spring Cloud components? @springtools4 now uses spring.io/projects/gener… to verify that your Spring Cloud and Spring Boot versions are compatible with eath other and if not, report mismatches right within your IDE 🥳

Java 26 support has landed at start.spring.io as well as @springtools4 for Eclipse. All you need to do is to install the Java 26 support from the Eclipse Marketplace. Once you have that, create new Spring Boot projects using Java 26 from the build-in wizard - and go! 🚀🥳

Spring Framework 7 and Spring Boot 4 use JSpecify as standard non-null/nullable annotations, so we now have them automatically configured in @code as well as the Spring Tools for @EclipseJavaIDE distribution 🥳

Quick heads-up: the option to disable the new symbol generation via the internal Spring index will go away soon. So if you have this feature disabled for some reason, let us know why, so that we can fill in the missing gaps in the new implementation to enable a smooth transition
