Congrats to all of our incredible Spring Valley athletes who ran, flew and threw their way to many victories in the sweltering heat today at ENNS. Special thanks to Mr. Fanjoy, Ms. Budgell and supportive parents who organized them and cheered them on. Way to go Bulldogs!

Big Valley shoutout to Adam and Mr. Pemberton for representing us so well at the Brian Todd Memorial Community Fund Grants Presentations event this evening.

Many thanks to Rabbi Polansky, for visiting us today. She showed that Jewish people come from all walks of life and ethnicities, explained some Jewish celebrations and religious artifacts, and spoke from the heart about the painful impact that Antisemitism has on Jewish people.

It has been another beautiful, fun filled Friday, here in the Valley. Many thanks to Ms. Budgell for organizing this year’s Earth Day themed fashion show and to all the participants who created such fashionable items out of recyclables. What talented group of students we have!

Another exciting day in the Valley. Thanks for providing so many amazingly creative cakes and delicious treats for the bake sale. You are an incredibly supportive community and help so much to make Spring Valley a special place to grow and learn.

Creativity at its best, here in the Valley, as Junior and Intermediate students design Carnaval floats while learning about Québécois culture, “au francais”. “Manifique!”

Big Bulldog shoutout to Ms. Ostrander for arranging to have Angus and Cole from the Belleville Senators visit the school today. It was fantastic and we are proud to be supporting the Senators on Friday. Spike says, “Go, Sens!”

Culturally Relevant and Responsive Pedagogy (teaching) in action at Spring Valley as this grade 7 class engages with the Unlearn Antisemitism resource, part of a school-wide endeavour to empower all our students to identify prejudice and stand up against hate.

Congratulations to one of our most promising artists on her 2nd place, Black and White poster, finish in the Provincial level Legion’s Remembrance Day Art competition. Always something good growing in the Valley.

Check out Ms. Brauer’s class’ creative “Canadarm” STEM challenge designs being built and tested in our amazing “Makerspace” situated in our Learning Commons.

That’s the Spring Valley Seasonal Helping Hands Spirit! Many thanks to all of our students and families who donated items to be shared through the Brighton Food Bank. Wishing you and yours a happy holiday however you celebrate.

Cookies, crafts and generosity galore have been filling the halls of Spring Valley this evening. Many thanks to all the staff who hosted crafting and cookie making sessions, those who brought food items and all who came to share this special, only in the Valley, event with us.

‘It’s the season for kindness and giving. Don’t forget to send in your donations of non perishable food items to be put under our Giving tree and donate to the Brighton Food bank.

Tons of Christmas and Spring Valley cheer were shared with the community at this year’s parade. Even Spike got into the spirit of the event.

Many thanks to Ms. Budgell for arranging for Captain Jamie Doucette to come to Spring Valley from the Trenton Airforce base to speak to us today about how all 3 branches of the Canadian Forces have served and continue to serve, keeping Canadians safe and helping around the world.

Ms. Brauer's grade 5/6s and Ms . Raymer’s Grade 1/2s created coloured sand “rangolis” to acknowledge Diwali, also known as the "festival of lights", recognized in the Hindu, Sikh and Jain faiths, symbolizing the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil.
