I don’t think there is a meaningful distinction between Theism and Simulation Theory. Believing in a ‘Creator’ and believing in a ‘Grand Architect’ who coded our ‘simulation’ is the same thing. It seems very odd to say (like many who support simulation theory do), that they are atheists because no God created the creator of the simulation. This deserves an eye roll. I’ve heard simulation supporters say that their creator (coder) is not ‘supernatural’ and therefor it isn’t Theism. But at that point you’re really back bending into weirdo cult territory. ‘Our Grand Architect is a computer programmer! Not an old man in the sky!’ Okay well that doesn’t make your cosmology any more reasonable. Your God is a Dev. Just admit it.

@SebastianDanzig If you push back on that clause, would the venue not book the show? Have you tried to negotiate that term ever? Is it baked in?

There are many issues to address but eliminating merchandise cuts from venues would be a great first step. Taking 20-50% from merchandise sales at a venue, including tax seems completely unreasonable. Wouldn’t you agree?

@gr8whitebison I can think of worse... they certainly went to crap after the 70's. 80's and 90's Aerosmith is horrific... but Dave Matthews, Spin Doctors, Phish, Local H, Blues Travelers, Sugar Ray, and Seven Mary Three are far worse. The 90's/00's was peak crap rock, let us not forget Creed.

I was gifted this beautiful painting by my wonderful mom - Frances Whalen ☺️ Called “Sandy’s Lake” and credited to “Tulley 86” it was in a group care home in Burlington. Does anyone know anything about this artist? This painting is amazing IMO - and maybe someone can help?
