Two years ago today, an Israeli airstrike killed my mother, my two nieces both doctors and their children I was inside Gaza & they were in the south. I couldn’t reach them, couldn’t say goodbye, couldn’t kiss them one last time We mourn them every day & carry their memory forward

Why do people say thanks to the bus driver? He's only doing his job. You wouldn't thank a waiter for bringing your food, a doctor for getting a crayon out of your nose or a fireman for rescuing you when you get your head stuck in railings again. I certainly didn't.

I recently posted a photo of my kitchen and received a lot of criticism about my curtains, with many people saying they were ugly and outdated. Honestly, this is a bit unfair; I try my best with what I have. Currently, I can't afford to install built-in cabinets, so I improvised with my curtains. I think I did a good job of making it look as good as possible given the circumstances. Not everything has to be perfect to look good.

Laura should have turned 26 today I kid myself that she’s having the time of her life with new friends in some new city But in reality I held her hand while she died at home, in a borrowed hospital bed - aged just 23 & 5 months. Her loss is so huge, it blocks out the sun.

Today I’m in hospital exploring photobiomodulation - a potential therapy for my throat fibrosis and swallowing issues. Think Star Trek dermal regenerators, but real! It is a targeted light (lasers and LEDs) designed to support tissue repair, calm inflammation, and reduce pain. I may not be able to eat and drink without risk ever again, but this could help. I'm still exploring, and I'm still hopeful because I can't afford to think any other way. I'm interested whether my appointment will be with an Emergency Medical Hologram!
