A special shoutout to PGMOL this season. Tried to relegate us in every avenue possible, and still failed. Unlucky lads. Better luck next year 🤝

🚨 Roberto De Zerbi: “We have no time to go on holiday. We have to learn from our mistakes we have done this season”. “I don’t wanna hear: Now we are happy because we stay up and we forget the past… No, no. Stupid people forget the past!”.

So @allyrudd_times it’s a really interesting take to blame the fans of a £550m revenue business for years of underachievement, while ignoring the actual reasons clubs succeed or fail. Successful clubs invest in elite players. They replace departing quality. They build football structures that support performance, from coaching to recruitment to sports science and medical. They hire top managers aligned to winning. They put football first. Most importantly, they understand long-term financial growth comes FROM football success, not from endlessly sweating the asset while prioritising infrastructure projects and commercial growth over the quality on the pitch. That’s the difference between Tottenham and clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool or Manchester City, who invested heavily and built winning cultures. Or even Brighton, Bournemouth and Aston Villa, who put football decisions first and massively outperformed their natural position. Fans don’t control recruitment, squad planning, wage structure, medical departments, executive priorities or ownership ambition. Blaming supporters while ignoring the institutional choices made over years is either unbelievably lazy journalism or a wilful misunderstanding of modern football, or you are simply on the take.

So, just a few weeks after the last thread on some horrific refereeing decisions in our game with Sunderland, we’re BACK again with another one. 📲 This time, focusing on the awful decisions that have gone against #thfc this season. We’ll begin with Monday night… THREAD 🧵⤵️

What happened today is unforgivable. Two hands on the back of a defender, the referee of the NLD went on SKY explaining why that is always a foul and not even a week later we see the exact opposite. It looks like you're taking the piss @FA_PGMOL.

Thomas Frank at Tottenham: another manager who has previously done well with low possession football struggling to adjust to the demands of a bigger club. It basically never works, and clubs should probably stop trying it. ⬇️ nytimes.com/athletic/69882…

As relieved I am that he’s gone, i am furious with the people who hired him, kept him, gaslit us into believing they knew what was best, fucked up the transfer window, kept him on LONGER, and then eventually sacked him when it may be too late, just because they had no choice.

@HLTCO As a Spurs fan and a @fbtlpod loyalist I'm shocked but not surprised at rules changing after they have affected your club. The sissoko handball in 2019 being the obvious one for me that is no longer considered handball.

@BigGazLaw @nickgoff79 Not sure what makes a ‘proper’ Champions League club, but here’s a quick recap: Spurs have played in the competition five times in the last decade, reached a final (*cue the heartbreak*) and will be back again next season. Maybe ‘proper’ just means ‘frequent’? #COYS
