@yinzer_g They have huge passion for baseball and their sports. It's common to find baseball fans in the city, and I bet they would go and become fans of an Orlando team if they have one. They also have the funds and concepts for a ballpark and a bid, it just comes down to the city now.

@yinzer_g some things to note: Charlotte does not have a real group bidding Last I checked, Portland is making great progress with their bid. I think it's inevitable (this part is just me defending my Orlando bias so take it with a grain of🧂) Orlando is not like the other 2.

MLB expansion?? Charlotte, NC - Good option Montreal, CN - No to Canada Oakland, CA - Just lost their team, why go back? Nashville, TN - Best option Orlando, FL - can't fill seats in the other 2 FL baseball stadiums Portland, OR - disaster of a city Raliegh, NC - Decent option, very small market Sacramento, CA - Would cost $5B to build a $750M stadium Salt Lake City, UT - Good option, small market. Vancouver, CN - No to Canada If they were going to add 2 teams, I'd probably go with Nashville and either Salt Lake City or Charlotte.

MLB expansion is in the not-too-distant future. Here's a detailed guide to each of the top markets. I spoke to each of the active groups for this report. There are 10 markets examined: ·      Charlotte, NC ·      Montreal, Quebec, Canada ·      Oakland, CA ·      Nashville, TN ·      Orlando, FL ·      Portland, OR ·      Raliegh, NC ·      Sacramento, CA ·      Salt Lake City, UT ·      Vancouver, BC, Canada READ THE REPORT 👇🏼 forbes.com/sites/maurybro…

@twinnmama6 @KARR_82 @cream_my_cheese 1. that's still major league somehow 2. New York and LA are different. They have 2 teams for each major league and have tons of other teams. Everyone's gonna obviously go to one of them instead of the 2nd rate teams.

If a city supported a USL team well, then moving up to MLS or starting a new club makes sense (Cin, Orl, Nsh, SD) Vegas doesn’t support their USL team, and yet they want to steal the Caps from an already passionate fanbase #savethecaps and fuck Vegas
Las Vegas Locally 🌴@LasVegasLocally

A special committee of Major League Soccer owners met earlier this month to discuss the future of the troubled Vancouver Whitecaps franchise, including the possibility of relocation. Las Vegas was the top destination under consideration, according to The Athletic. We are ready.

@KARR_82 @cream_my_cheese Cincinnati has good attendance for the Cyclones, their ice hockey team. More specific to soccer, Indianapolis shows up for the Indy Eleven.

@KARR_82 @cream_my_cheese That's no excuse. Even major league cities show up for their 2nd rate teams if they have the passion for the sport. Vegas clearly does not.

@sqidk6 @cream_my_cheese Las Vegas is a major league city. The Lights are a 2nd rate team, with 2nd rate players, in an extremely 2nd rate stadium. They’re not selling it out even if they were 10-0.

@KARR_82 @cream_my_cheese That goes down to the city officials. I'm talking about the residents who pay to come watch and support the team. The Whitecaps have a legit fanbase. They don't deserve to have their team ripped away to a city that can't even get their USL team's stadium half full.

@sqidk6 @cream_my_cheese Why doesn’t Vancouver build a stadium for them then? If they’re that important, why are they willing to let them go?

@cream_my_cheese I'm against Canadian teams in American teams, but to rid Vancouver of a team to a city that won't support them is too far. #SaveTheCaps
