When I first used IRC, I had no idea that chat would eventually be a major component of my work communication and that I would spend HOURS each day doing it.

@laurieallee Actually, at Microsoft, we were asked to choose: In the office 100%, 75%, 50%, 75%, 0%. the only impacts are that if you're less than 50%, they don't reserve a desk for you.

I was chatting about remote work with a recruiter friend today. She said it is the number one requirement mentioned by applicants. She head hunts for tech & gaming, and says remote-friendly companies are bleeding talent from the giants now sending employees back to the office.
