The first week of the year has been off to a flying start and we’re excited to be back in the Square Circle office! It’s always great to catch up with our colleagues and jump back into our project work. Here’s to a productive and successful 2023!

Our team just wrapped up a wonderful workshop in Phnom Penh on behalf of #AustraliaAwardsCambodia. Three days of engaging dialogue about inclusive development. Looking forward to continuing the relationships formed to create positive impact in the region.

It was a privilege to work with 47 exceptional #AustraliaAwards #MekongAustraliaPartnership Scholars in Sydney at our Leadership Foundations Workshop. Big thanks to all the scholars for your energy and engagement, and to Australia Awards and DFAT for bringing us all together!

At the core of the methodology is the Vanua, which is the deep relationship between iTaukei people and the natural and spirit world — including the land, sea and sky, and everything in them. Square Circle congratulates our collaborators on the launch.

Honoured to be part of the development of the innovative listening methodology at the heart of the Peacebuilding Approaches to Climate Change in Fijian Communities that was launched by @TranscendOcean1 and @CRbuildpeace.

The session was an opportunity to share about Square Circle's work in the Pacific and to hear about the group's aspirations for development impact in PNG. A lively Q&A was had and no doubt we were talking with some emerging PNG leaders.

In her new role, Jodie will lead Square Circle’s governance and social impact advisory service in Australia, the Asia Pacific region, and globally – to support the development aspirations of local people. You can read more about this exciting announcement in our blog!

Square Circle has teamed with Dignity Pasifik and @StrongimB to support Women’s Economic Empowerment and to strengthen communities in Solomon Islands.

Using a Fijian-centred listening methodology, PCP field teams are now carrying out a listening study in three informal settlements in the Suva-Nausori corridor.

A great week working with @Centre_Pacific and @CRbuildpeace to deliver an action learning program on qualitative research methods. Held in Suva, the program was part of a wider project on climate change, migration and conflict in the Pacific.
