One 75 Spencer resident whose child attends school in Parkdale, Lobsang Nyima, said he has lived in the building for 15 years. He is on rent strike and faces eviction for nonpayment of rent, but his reason for striking is “easy” — “We don’t have enough money to pay (the AGI).”

On March 5, Metcap issued N4 eviction notices to rent strikers at 75 Spencer. Yesterday, rent strikers returned those eviction notices to Metcap property manager, Alba Jano at her home. Tenants won’t be needing them. The rent strike continues

A reporter attributed to Ricardo Tranjan comments that falsely implied the Thorncliffe Park rent strike dragged on because tenants did not know who their landlords were. In fact, Starlight and PSP could not subdue tenants' organizing because it effectively targeted both landlords
