Lance Collard continues to protest his innocence amid allegations he again used a homophobic slur in a VFL game.
The St Kilda forward flew home to Perth over the weekend to look his mum in the eye and tell her his sledge on Friday night against Frankston was misheard.
Collard insists he called an opposition player a maggot.
He returned to sit before the AFL integrity department early this morning where he again maintained his innocence.
For what it's worth, Collard immediately admitted his guilt in 2024 before serving a six-match suspension for a homophobic slur.
