@GusdisaBR Good question. I started a few businesses during that time and made way more than the $100k that evaporated. Then when the market started ramping up again I jumped back in. In hindsight I should’ve kept paying a bit attention to it in my free time, many opportunities in a bear.

@squidNFT Nice! Thanks for sharing. Good to see a real story about 2017->2021... I'm here only from early 2021, got around 300-400k, took just a small amount compared to the total, saw the rest dive hard. This info gives me will to keep pushing, what you did between 17 to 21? Waited?

In 2017 I had a portfolio ATH of $100k, took no profits out, and watched it bleed to $0 The second time (2021) I hit a portfolio ATH north of $1M and managed to keep 1/3rd of it This is why you A) do some serious reflection on what you learned. And B) stick around for next time

Some bull market lessons: - It’s okay to sip the koolaid but don’t down the whole jug like everyone else - Even if you’re heavily involved in a project you should still take profits - If you ever get a strong urge to sell off your entire portfolio then just do it

Honestly I’m kinda relieved that this whole space has taken a chill pill. Gives me time to breath and reflect on how to become a better trader for next cycle.

An overview of 2022 so far: House flooded. Cleaned up. The rain returned and it flooded a second time. Cleaned up again. Then discovered one of my wallets got drained while in the middle of all that. Surely I've used up all my bad luck now and it's all upwards from here? Right?

@felixnorden @SmolBrainsNFT It's hard to know for certain but I think so. Either that or a keylogger. The seed had been stored on paper since wallet creation and this was the first time importing it anywhere. They definitely had full access, not just via contracts/approvals.

@squidNFT @SmolBrainsNFT So sad to hear that… do you know what caused the hack? Was it the chrome vulnerability from a couple of weeks back?

Want to know something embarrassing? I got hacked and have lost all my @SmolBrainsNFT The mistake: importing my seed phrase into a new device without checking if chrome was up to date on it. This was during an emergency and I wasn't thinking straight. But it's still my fault.

Reminder to update your browser to the latest version and remove any extensions that you no longer use. There's lots of exploits going around at the moment.

It's so easy to lose your entire net worth in one button click. The hacks/scams in this space are not going away - they will only get worse. Educate yourself on crypto security and put fail safe measures in place. Best time to do it was before you started, second best time is now
