My cousin sister was scoring 655 in NEET this year. Before @NTA_Exams announced scrapping of the exam. She is just heartbroken and has been crying ever since. As a brother, I feel bad. Except reassurance what else can I do? It’s tough being in a shitty country! Period!

@AdiG1993 It’s also because patients themselves would value a subspecialist’s opinion more than an internist’s opinion

Most of us left the tough decisions to the subspecialists. Why? It was easier. It was expected. It is what everybody does.

I was talking to a friend last night. DM has been cognitively way harder than I imagined. With a background in general medicine, I thought it would be easier. I was way wrong.

Yes. It's possible to do fellowship in the US without doing residency there. You must be ECFMG certified (cleared Step 1, Step 2 CK and CS). But you cant practice independently in the US or get board certified unless you do a residency in the US. So you will have to come back.

Most of my physician and critical care specialist friends tell me - we indians dont drink enough water. Chronic dehydration seems to be our culture. It is important to consume plain water. We tend to forget that.

🚨personal post🚨 As an FMG still in the long arduous immigration journey, I am often asked by aspiring FMGs advice about the US residency/fellowship/academia journey. For the first time in a decade+ since I have been here I feel compelled to give them sobering and harsh truths.

I am not an expert but I can really go over some basics regarding billing/coding for someone who is interested for FREE. Just want to give back to the community while I wait for Match day. #Match2024 #InternalMedicine

I think while preparing for this journey one thing that is really important especially for IMG is financial stability. One thing that really helped me making some extra cash while doing unpaid observership/externship is doing remote medical billing/coding.

Reading this malpractice case, part 2: expert witness statements and deposition testimony from physicians (names redacted)🧵 (part 1, the claim from plaintiffs, quoted)

One of the largest malpractice awards ever just dropped: "Hospital on the hook for $120M jury verdict after residents miss signs of stroke on CT" radiologybusiness.com/topics/healthc… Always interested in learning from diagnostic error, I looked up the court documents.🧵pt1 (names redacted)
