How do I tell my 9 year old daughter I’m not buying her the new kit like I do every year, The kit is out in 2 weeks and she’s buzzing. She’s doesn’t understand it all. I’ll be buying it her, anyone got an issue then come voice it when you see me on match days 👍🏼

One of the things that have puzzled me over the past 4 years has been the SWFC fan perception of Windass. In L1, our drop-off in form coincided with his injury at the back end of the season. Last season, he came back and kept us up. This season, he is central to what we do in the attacking third. Has never got the recognition of being one of the very best at SWFC, but he has always and still is top 2/3 players. Arguments can be made for number 1.

A note last night in the first half. We really did play some excellent football. Whilst i know Ugbo is, rightfully, coming under some stick of his lack of goals, he offers so much more to how we play. As does Josh Windass, who I am noticing is just about getting the recognition he deserves from the fans. The play in the first half was very different to the second half when those 2 went off. They both offer so much more insofar as overall game than the other options we have in those areas. A few clips below from key moments in the first half. Windass really did run the show in the final third and build up. He comes out of areas to allow straight passes where he is an option for first time reverse balls. He and Pol have really good chemistry down the right as Josh knows he will overlap and beat his man. The awareness from Josh with scanning that i picked out, allowing for high tempo play into space.
