You can start with nothing. And out of nothing, and out of no way, a way will be made.

@karpathy 's idea is centered around the abstraction of a "ramp". A ramp where everything only depends on the thing before it. If only a course was constructed on this idea, the learning experience could pack so much more motivation to continue learning..Brilliant & Epiphanous!

You keep on learning and learning, and pretty soon you learn something no one has learned before.

“Work smarter, not harder” implies there’s a dignified path to competence. There isn’t. The path is messy, embarrassing, and littered with mistakes that make you look like you don’t know what you’re doing - because you don’t. The people who eventually work smart are the ones who were willing to work dumb first. They asked obvious questions. Tried “wrong” approaches. They looked like beginners because they were beginners and they took the ego hit that comes with that. That’s the part most people can’t handle. The pain of looking incompetent is the price you pay on the road to excellence. The better you are at enduring it, the further you go.

In the course of his conversation with His Holiness Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, a devotee asked, “Is there any particular verse in the Bhagavad Gita that Your Holiness considers to be the most striking?” The sage acknowledged the question with a smile and said, “I like the verse ‘Adveshtaa sarva bhoothaanaam maitrah karuna evacha...’” (Chapter XII/verse-13). The devotee politely sought the reason why His Holiness would consider this verse to be the most appealing to Him. His Holiness said, “The verse lists the qualities that one should cultivate to make this human life fruitful. I always keep these in mind while treading the path of life.” *-*-* अद्वेष्टा सर्वभूतानां मैत्रः करुण एव च। निर्ममो निरहङ्कारः समदुःखसुखः क्षमी॥ One who never harbors hatred for any living being, who is friendly and filled with compassion, who is free from possessiveness and ego, who views all suffering and joy with equanimity, and who is steadfast (is dear to Me, says Bhagawan). *-*-* Official Telegram Handle: t.me/s/sringerimath #Srimad #Bhagavatham #Sringeri #Shankaracharya #Bhagavan

Whoever made this plate is an amazing artist. His message was clear: "Your leftovers are needed by many people. Always respect the food on the plate." Hats off to the artists👏

The central magic of Object-Oriented programming comes from the power of Names. We manifest a being greater than the sum of its parts by giving a collection of properties a Name. We can then summon that Named entity, send messages to it, or create another like it in the future.
