असम में कई ईदगाह समितियों ने पहले गौ-कुर्बानी से परहेज़ करने की अपील की थी और अब अनेक स्थानों पर मुस्लिम समाज ने स्वयं आगे आकर इसे अपनाया है। बरपेटा, लखीमपुर, होजाई और कामरूप सहित कई स्थानों से आया गौ-रक्षा का यह सकारात्मक संदेश असम की सांस्कृतिक एकता को और सुदृढ़ करेगा। मैं सभी समितियों और जागरूक नागरिकों को हृदय से धन्यवाद देता हूँ।
