BASE: Prior to today’s doubleheader sweep of Clarion, Slippery Rock University honored head coach Jeff Messer with a field dedication at Critchfield Park. Slippery Rock’s home facility will now officially be known as “Messer Field at Jack Critchfield Park”.

BASE: ROCK WINS!!! Slippery Rock closes out the doubleheader sweep of Mansfield with a 6-1 victory in game two. Parker Hogge (W, 5 IP, 1 R, 4 K) and Mark Wilbur (S, 4 IP, 0 R, 7 K) were great on the mound while Treston Nemeth and Darryn Callahan had 2 RBIs each.

BASE: Slippery Rock wins the opening game of this weekend's series against Mansfield in convincing fashion, 22-4. 10 Rock athletes recorded a hit with Clay Wiesen (3-4, 4 Runs, 1 HR, 3 RBIs) and Darryn Callahan (3-3, 1 HR, 4 RBIs) leading the way.
