Actually the more I write and talk with people in women’s football, the more I realise something:
Besides players mental health not being taken seriously enough, one of the biggest problem is that football can be very isolating sometimes and a lot of people in this space are… kind of on their own.
Players and coaches moving countries, journalists working independently, people trying to build something around the game…
Everyone is nice to each other, everyone loves this sport, but people aren’t always connected to each other.
And honestly that’s something I really want to change and maybe writing isn’t the only thing I can do to help,
So, with the help a few people from the scene I’ve been thinking about creating a private community for people working in women’s football.
Not a big public thing, just a safe space for people in women’s football (players, media, staff, photographers, ...) (with a few rules to make sure it stays a safe place for everyone)
A place where you can ask for advice, share and ask for opportunities, …
or simply watch a game together, play something, or have a random conversation after a long day…
But also a space where, if you want, you can connect more easily with people who have a similar role to yours or who work nearby so you can organize activities in person if that’s something you’d want.

I’ve been thinking about why I started writing about women’s football, and I’d say it comes down to two things: - I want players to be respected and recognized for what they are: professional athletes. (Too often, I feel like that’s not the case.) - There are so many players, teams and stories that don’t get the attention and respect they deserve… That’s why I started writing,at my own scale, to try to help push things in the right direction: To try to give a bit more visibility, recognition, and when possible, opportunities to some of the incredible women in this sport. So if you know a player, a team, … (can be a friend, a sister, a teammate, someone you support, a player you represent, a daughter, or even yourself… ) that you’d like to see get more light and recognition, feel free to comment or DMs, my dms are always open. If these players or teams can fit into any of my formats it’d be a pleasure to include them 🫡 (One important thing: I won’t lie or push agendas, and I don’t accept money to promote anyone. It’s important for to me to stay fair, honest, and treat every player equally.) Thank you 🫶🫶
