@jasonpaisley Schools are struggling with where to draw the line I think. They often have trouble with allowing a Bible to be carried by a student, or a student witnessing their faith to others at school. There is still a bias against the Christian religion that doesn’t exist for other faiths.

@jasonpaisley Interesting attacks on Barton. I don’t find them credible or worrying at all. While he clearly has a bias (everyone does), his main points are still true. The founding fathers had a heavy Christian influence, but were from a wide variety of denominations.

@jasonpaisley In Chapter 6 of David Barton’s book Original Intent, he produces ample evidence to refute any notion any of them (not even one) were atheists, deists or that they wanted to divorce religious principles from public affairs. As a whole, they were a highly religious group.

@jasonpaisley This all seems true, which means they derived a brand new document unlike any other using the best parts of other documents, discarding others and adding their own wisdom to create an incredible living code to run this country forever.

I never saw such hatred spewing from congressional leaders toward a president as we are seeing from Democrats toward Trump now. It’s a complete disgrace. The good news is it will likely lead to a second term and Republicans retaking the House.
