I think you have forgotten South Africa,and today this govt is releasing fund to support this but JSPL (Navin Jindal ) was trying very hard to bring this project in 2010-2015 and this same govt rejected coal mining allotment and never took interest to support Navin Jindal to finish that project ...

India is sitting on 400 bn tonnes of Coal . Germany was using coal liquification to drive Nazi army tanks in the 1940s. China produces 80% of its urea from coal. China does 350 mt of coal gasification per year with 50 massive plants working on this. This is a great initiative for Indias energy security . Energy security is critical for national security
