Autism.... I have worked with hundreds of children with autism through equine assisted therapy. I have watched miracles happen in minutes that usually take months and years for others to see and sometimes never. I have always said you can't fix the body unless you fix the mind first. As for autism you can't understand the mind unless you listen to the body first. Horses have mastered communication skills through facial expressions and body language. They are very sensitive to every movement you make. They can even feel your heartbeat from several feet away. This is why equine therapy works so well because communication through the body is the key.
