1) Market above 22L is very small, almost nil considering our population and 4L monthly car sales
2) For a regular customer EVs are seen to save running cost and upfront high cost put many customers away.
3) Indian brands are offering crazy value with Harrier EV & XEV 9e/9s
4) Chinese factor
5) Some unhappy customers with delayed parts because they are CBUs (imported cars)
6) Atto3 has slightly odd looking interiors
7) Above 40L, customers prefer luxury brands or Fortuner

Why Gurumurthy can never become a Cho!
I can’t fathom what Mr. Gurumurthy is trying to stir up at such an inappropriate time.
Of course, there has always been a need for an alternative to both DMK and ADMK, but if Gurumurthy thinks Joseph Vijay is that alternative, then I can only say that aging has taken its toll on Gurumurthy’s political sharpness and intellect.
Every sane mind knows that Joseph Vijay is as evil as the DMK and just a renewed version of Dravidian ideology.
If Gurumurthy didn’t want the BJP to have an alliance with ADMK, he could have used his clout (if he had any) to convince the BJP to lead a front on its own, as it did in 2024. Now that the NDA alliance is working really well on the ground, this post from Gurumurthy calling the alliance a shortcut is needless.
Lastly, it is the same Gurumurthy who said Annamalai was too fast just a few months back.
Had Cho lived, he would have backed the NDA wholeheartedly and wouldn’t have made these kinds of absurd statements, especially at a crucial juncture just before counting.
Gurumurthy can never become a Cho!

Why not build a transshipment port on the Tamil Nadu coast, using the Palk Strait as your throughput? Will act as a good competitor for Hambantota Port. Bring in greater revenues by reducing distance. Increase geo-strategic importance of the country in the Indian Ocean.
