I’m not here to be liked. I’m here to tell you what’s true. You can’t beat the market if you can’t sit through the drawdown without flinching. It’s that simple. Everyone wants the return. Nobody wants the part where the position is down 30% and every voice in your head is screaming to sell. You think the most successful people only have good days… …Haaland, Ronaldo, Musk, Bezos. They don’t. They just don’t quit on the bad ones. The market doesn’t reward intelligence. It rewards endurance. Anyone can hold a winner. Almost no one can hold through the pain and still believe in the thesis. Conviction is easy when you’re up. It means nothing until you’re down and still standing there, still holding, still right about why you bought it in the first place. Most people aren’t beaten by bad decisions. They’re beaten by good decisions they didn’t have the stomach to keep. That’s the whole game. Not being smarter. Being able to sit still while it hurts. -BP Not financial advice.
