@dockevinmcleod And… my view is this whole 35% tariff thing is just theatre and bombast for Trump to a large extent. “Oh look, I’m punishing Canada” when it’s not totally as bad as the number makes it out to be because of USMCA and he knows this but people are eating it up.

@dockevinmcleod I agree with you re:applies to 6% of goods. The thing is there are real impacts though for the lumber, steel and automotive industries that we can’t just brush off.

Don’t just look at the headlines. You’d think a 35% tariff was going on to everything Canada exports to the USA. It’s only on 6% of goods we sell not covered under the existing USMCA free trade agreement. Canadian politicians lying for personal gain aren’t helping Canada. It just creates fear and division. That’s not leadership.
