finally spent 15 minutes reading about ve(3,3) and i doubt anyone will be able to convince me this isn't another idiotic defi nonsense where people believe crypto is magic from a unit economics perspective there is one simple truth here that cannot be engineered out of the equation - the only real value generated is trading fees, and if those are not given in full to liquidity providers, they will just provide liquidity on a dex without a token that steals their fees if what i wrote above isn’t happening in a real world scenario it's not because of some magic defying financial common sense - it's only because of ponzinomics, and it's not sustainable long term in a real market environment. emissions and bribes and all that crap is just noise and financial illiteracy. i mean tbh you can say you're relying on an endless string of ponzi scams to continuously supply your token stakers with free money in bribes that will be taken from their stupid later investors as their tokens all inevitably go to zero, but i don't think that's sustainable either long term - you can build a similar system where bribes go directly to lps instead of token holders. also, it's not an innovative game theory genius system, it's just a roundabout way to make money off of scams. please, when someone tries to convince you that value is somehow created out of thin air because of some clever structure, and the pie magically becomes bigger and everyone wins, just assume they are somehow wrong, no need to pinpoint exactly how.

What are your thoughts on token buybacks? @doubleup_app’s tokenomics are a fascinating case study. Like $HYPE, they do token buybacks from protocol revenue, and $UP has been pumping. A lot of DeFi protocols on Sui are generating solid revenue. Should these dApps start revenue-funded token buybacks too?

At the end of the day, these are user funds — and loyal Sui users deserve to be made whole, regardless of where the fault lies. My vote will be guided solely by that principle. No one is influencing my decision. I’ll review the technical details carefully and vote in favor of making users whole.

stSUI by @AlphaFiSUI is most traded coin (other than stables and SUI) on the SUI network. Are you missing opportunites by not minting some for yourself. Thanks @NoodlesFi for generating insights for us. Thanks @khush_kothari_ for pointing this out.
