Year 6 had a great day at the Bristol Life skills Centre. What a brilliant resource it is for the city. Lots of learning and practising important skills.

Year 1 and Year 2 had a brilliant author visit them on Friday. Thank you to @maxminervas for organising and Nishani Reed for sharing your book, ‘Nabil Steals a Penguin’.

Thank you to all of the parents and carers of children in KS2 & Y1 for coming to find out more about supporting children with reading this week. We have another session on Monday for Year 2 families. Lots of information on our website too for those who weren’t able to make it.

We have had Airbus engineers in school for the last two days running Science workshops- space landing and paper planes!

Year 2 have been busy this week. They shared their wonderful writing with Year 1 and then had a visit from Isambard Kingdom Brunel who popped by to help bring history to life. The children showed off their history knowledge by asking some excellent questions.

Thank you to the Friends of St Werburgh’s for organising a brilliant ceilidh last night. Live music, dancing and raising money for the school.

Our guitarists performed brilliantly in our ‘Thank You’ Singing Assembly this morning for volunteers. They showed great commitment and confidence!

Heart warmed by music & song at the thank you assembly at @st_werburghs this morning. Year 6, the choir, Ks2, and the guitarists were amazing. Music brings so much joy and togetherness and I ❤️ that its always been in the schools DNA. Hats off to Mr Reece for doing such a fab job

Lilac class performed brilliantly on the glockenspiels this afternoon. They played Tchaikovsky’s ‘March of the Toy Soldiers’ - then taught their parents how to play it! Well done, musicians.

Year 3 shared some of their art work from the year with parents after school today.
