I, and my @Regional_Grp Independent colleagues have been calling for a reduction of the hospitality VAT rate to 9% to reduce the pressure on our amazing cafes and restaurants such as @stableyardfood in Waterford. Closures are inevitable unless pressure is reduced. @RAI_ie @wlrfm

🚨Motion to restore 9% VAT rate for food-led hospitality businesses to be debated in the Dáil at 10am tomorrow morning🍽️ The Rural Independent group of TDs have brought forward a #VAT9 motion that calls for the permanent reinstatement of the lower rate for small, independent restaurants and cafés across the country.
