Our Chief Fire Officer Callum Faint appeared on local and national ITN news this evening, warning drivers to please avoid entering floodwaters. He was interviewed this afternoon on Mountsorrel Lane, where flooding has been particularly bad over the weekend orlo.uk/mGV4K
For the sake of the city and region confidence needs to be restored in the leadership of West Midlands Police, so that lessons can be learned and implemented. I believe that the Chief Constable should stand down so that this vital work can begin at once.
Due to heavy snow runway operations have been suspended. Passengers due to travel should contact their airline regarding the status of flights.
