My first hand-made relative elevation model for the lovely meanders of Fish Creek, NY. Yes, there are tools that do this automatically, and probably do a nicer job. But this one is mine. And will be an example for a build-your-own-REM lab.

a focal piece for a large urban #lake in #Fayetteville, #Arkansas. Designed by #artist @stacylevyart, this beemat served as a research site for the @UArkansas Biology Department students investigating water quality in #lakemanagement.

Not only are #Beemats functionally important for improving #waterquality, but they can be customized to provide an artistic feature to a waterbody, too. This spiral #wetland was based on the "Spiral Jetty" by Robert Smithson, & was created as 🧵..
