@metamins hey ive experienced this type of catfishing a few times from people i thought were friends. theyve stolen voice clips from videos, had family or friends pretend to be their voice, and last year one used ai. and pictures can be stolen from anywhere or fabricated with ai now.

I chat w her privately and can confirm she’s real. I’ve heard her voice and she’s sent me pictures she hasn’t posted. She uses AI to translate her posts and edit photos (removing people)/some facial filters. She’s very kind and encourages me to get better :)

@itty_bytes ive dealt with people like this before by the way, many things could be faked even before ai and ive seen a girl use a family members pics. i think the divorced ex theory is dogshit but i do think these are photos harvested from inactive users, dms, and niche social media.
