Reminder to all that choughs use mineshafts & mine buildings as well as caves & cliff adits to nest in so please keep your dogs under close control & be mindful of these places being a home to Cornwall's bird. If a chough starts calling, flapping wings, it's upset so move on! Ta
Did you know… the St Agnes Home Guard had the motto ‘eyes everywhere’ and their emblem was a chough. At one point the Miners and Mechanics Institute was used as an arms store!
