Monday, July 13 Join us in praying for English listeners   Hello Christopher,   “For this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.” —Luke 15:24   This week on World Prayer Today, we’re setting aside our usual travels to pray for one of the most common requests we receive: prodigals.   If you’ve ever prayed for a son, daughter, spouse, sibling, or friend who has wandered from the Lord, this week’s stories are for you.   We begin our journey with David in Los Angeles.   David’s Story   “I grew up in a Christian home and invited the Lord into my life at age nine. But later I became a prodigal. I sniffed glue, then turned to marijuana and alcohol. “At age 49, I got clean and sober through AA. My sponsor was a Christian who showed me AA’s 12 Steps in the Bible.   “I was angry with myself and realized I had spent more time reading other books than God’s Word. One day while channel surfing, I found KKLA Christian radio and heard an advertisement for the Bible Bus. I’ve been a passenger ever since.“   Thank the Lord, no one is beyond the reach of His grace. The road home may be long. There may be years of mistakes and heartbreak along the way. But our Father never stops waiting and calling us back.The door home is never closed from His side.    Heavenly Father, we are grateful You are the God who always welcomes us home. Thank You for Your patience and mercy. Today we lift up the sons, daughters, spouses, family members, and friends who have wandered from You. Continue to pursue them and give hope to those who are waiting and praying for their return. In Jesus’ name, amen. God bless you,

@staleyexpress Dude I pretty much lived in the wood shed for the last 20 years. Maybe longer, lol. I am so bad. But God is good. And He's forgiven me and I am on my 1000th time repenting.

I know many believers feel anxious and deeply inquisitive about Christ’s return; they love the Lord so much they can hardly wait to be fully with Him. But aren’t we already with Him right now, through faith? I’ve been listening to Dr J Vernon McGee for a while and he constantly talks about being careful not to get sidetracked by this. Dr. J. Vernon McGee firmly taught that we should live in perpetual expectation, not date-setting distractions or self-focused reward chasing. The gospel calls us to the obedience of faith: daily surrender, walking closely with Christ, and faithful service today, not speculation. Let’s focus on our obedience to God’s Word without compromise.

Prayers I get back on track with my diet acid reflux not fun didn't say anything but last few days and next few days rather beyond trying have paperwork deadlines regarding housing and been trying to get other matters done.. but thankful for everything Jesus will provide 🙏 🙌 ✝️
