Mail day.... A tremendous new addition to my Social Philately of Ornithology collection... An 1897 cover to a prominent American oologist. In my larger historic narrative, this cover will play an important part in underlining the problems of multiple avian checklists! #philately

@ArchivumVatican All I know is... "In the midst of Japan's increasingly stressful society, this new carbonated beverage focuses on "guilt consumption"—the opposite of health consciousness, where people indulge themselves despite feeling guilty—and offers a sweet, rich, and addictive taste."

@stampden And what are these spices? Cinnamon? Turmeric? Do you sleep well after drinking them? Not sure…😂

It's been a few months since my wife and I have had the opportunity to enjoy lunch at our favourite restaurant. The food tastes as good as it looks... 😋

@NPhilatelics They are in poor to awful condition. At the annual stamp shows in Tokyo, you can buy postcards in far better condition at a fraction of the price. But, tourists just looking for a souvenir aren't likely to attend those!

@stampden Perhaps there is potential for social philately among all these Japanese letters?😉

I'm torn between these two stamps. And which one would you vote for as the most beautiful Czech stamp of the past year? You can see them all here: znamkaroku.cz. You can also vote on this website.

Seen for Sale... Nov 1863 mourning cover to Rev. John Anderson in Warrnambool, from his hometown of Forfar, Scotland. Rev Anderson had been called to Warrnambool in 1861, dying there of a stroke in 1878, aged 48. His father, James, died June 1863. Mourning cover link? #philately

@zdunzdunzdun I hear you. Definitely works best with headphones. I'll see if post-processing it through Audacity helps.

Seen for Sale... August 1863 cover from Edinburgh to Dora Anne Greville (1834-83), who had married in Aug 1862 her cousin Rev. Chaloner Greville. His father was the Botanist and Edinburgh MP Robert Kaye Greville of Wyaston, hence the name of their cottage. #Philately

@zdunzdunzdun Thanks. The next episode is ready to go, but I'm still deciding on the release format and timing. The next episode was quite a different creative experience. I had to tweak the raw data several times to force the podcast to follow a story plan I was happy with!

#Philately on Late Night with Seth Meyers... "The US Postal Service has unveiled new forever stamps that feature five different lowrider cars. So if you love lowriders and you collect stamps... you might be the only one!" 🤣

Introducing Cover Stories, a new section on my website exploring the social philately of single covers told through podcast-style audio deep dives. And look out for my next monthly article on the first Sunday of the month - an in-depth adaptation of my Stampex display #philately

@zdunzdunzdun It's a really easy and relaxing way to receive information! I will be creating one for all deep dive cover stories. I have created a section on my Substack called Cover Stories for these.

@ArchivumVatican It was created using NotebookLM, which doesn't allow editing of the transcript. That puts great weight on you giving the depth and quality of information from which the LLM works with. Yes, there were some very minor errors in their description of the photographs, but that's all.

@stampden Incredibly, the voices are pleasant and the dialogue between the woman and the man is realistic; the analysis is profound. Did you notice any inconsistencies or errors?
