Stamp Tittle
The Hawk of Quraish (The Emblem of the UAE)
This stamp design carries significant political history for the region. Prior to December 1971, the independent emirates (such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah) operated as Trucial States and issued their own individual postage stamps. Following the official federation and unification of the United Arab Emirates on December 2, 1971, the postal systems were merged. This specific design was introduced as part of the country's first unified definitive stamp series, standardizing daily mail and serving as an iconic symbol of shared national identity across the newly joined emirates.

The Road to Independence (1917)
For over a century (1809–1917), Finland existed as an autonomous Grand Duchy within the Russian Empire. Prior to that, it had been a part of Sweden for centuries. Following the collapse of the Russian Russian monarchy during the February Revolution and the subsequent chaos of the Bolshevik October Revolution in 1917, the Parliament of Finland saw an opportunity to claim sovereignty. On December 6, 1917, the Finnish Parliament officially adopted the Declaration of Independence.

500th Anniversary of the Reformation
The Spark (1517): On October 31, 1517, a German monk and theology professor named Martin Luther famously nailed his Ninety-five Theses to the door of the All Saints' Church in Wittenberg, Germany. Luther's text strongly criticized the Catholic Church's practice of selling "indulgences" (certificates believed to reduce a soul's punishment in purgatory for sins). He argued that salvation is achieved through faith alone, rather than financial contributions or institutional deeds.

150th Anniversary of Mexican National
The Spark: The Cry of Dolores (1810)
By 1810, Mexico (then known as New Spain) had been under oppressive Spanish colonial rule for nearly 300 years. On the early morning of September 16, 1810, a progressive Roman Catholic priest named Father Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla rang the church bells in the small town of Dolores.
Instead of delivering a standard mass, he gave a fiery, passionate speech to his parishioners, urging them to rise up against the Spanish crown. This historic speech became known as the Grito de Dolores (The Cry of Dolores). It demanded racial equality, land redistribution, and an end to Spanish tyranny, effectively marking the official start of the independence movement

Inauguration of the Basilica of Our Lady of Altagracia
• This stamp was issued on January 21, 1971, to commemorate the grand opening and inauguration of the Basílica Catedral Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia in the city of Higüey, Dominican Republic. Just a few weeks prior to the inauguration, in December 1970, Pope Paul VI officially declared it a minor basilica, and the country designated it a national monument.
