NOEL (HE IS BORN) -- @stanaj completely shifted the direction of this entire album. Right after I finished "O Come O Come Emmanuel" with the kids' choir, he was the first artist I reached out to. There was this chorus I'd penned back in 2013 that I was always keeping in mind for a Christmas album someday - the moment Stanaj sang it, I was blown away. He set the bar sky-high with those vocals, making me realize this album had to be filled with world-class vocal talent. His voice opened up a whole new vision for the project; he's not just integral to that track but to the whole album. We've grown super close over the years, and seeing it come full circle - from that first recording session to performing live in front of thousands - was just surreal. One of the best live performances I've ever witnessed. I’ve worked with @stanaj for YEARS now… and I still think this might be the best vocal performance I’ve heard from him yet! He continues to blow my mind and impress me every time we record. It’s moments (and singers) like this that make me so thankful for my job and keeps it exciting every day. “Last Lover” was written by us and our friend @XEAHMUSIC over 6 years ago, and we always knew it was special… So happy we finally get to release it into the world!
