@rozanovsjane @starboyrozy I don't understand Hudson's acting choices. He's all watery eyes in scenes that were not that emotional in the books, but stiff and wooden in the scenes that need a lot of emotions to work well

i fear for s2 with how flat he will be. Shane is already not the best throughout the season and i cant imagine how much of a harder watch itll be if he is this flat throughout all of their scenes ☠️

@Cinder305522385 If i am being honest i wanted a break up at some point during tlg. Shane needed a self reflection period on his own to see what he had till its gone. And the mom comment still haunts me to this day. i know ilya wouldn’t bring it up again but shane oh i could throttle him

@Cinder305522385 I agree as well. Even when i was reading i always felt like shane was lackluster. even with his proposal i didn’t like it cause it wasnt original. The lack of effort from him rubs me completely wrong

@starboyrozy Someone said sometime ago that Shane and Ilya seem mismatched compared to Scott and Kip and I agree with it more and more everyday. And I feel show even amplified that effect for me, with how emotionally disconnect Shane feels in a lot of pivotal scenes.

@starboyrozy It's so easy to imagine Shane nagging Ilya about smoking and drinking, and eating, and driving, and dancing in clubs, snuffing out Ilya's spark and Ilya quietly resenting him for it. Shane's lack of emotional connection in the show only makes it worse

@Cinder305522385 And as someone w autism that likes these books i need shane to be emotional for ilya or else its not working for me. Hudson playing him as flat does not work here regardless of how many other autistics feel seen by it. It just doesn’t work 🤷🏽‍♀️
