Man, work from 2018? How has it been this long? This is still one of my favorite beauty shoots today and the first time I tried a photo shoot with only constant lights (no strobes).

I’ve literally spent the last year trying to figure out a bounced-light setup in my studio that allows me this freedom he’s looking for. Glad it’s not unrealistic to want to work this way even on such a big level.

Reminds me of the founder of Patreon’s TED Talk “The Death of the follower”, focused on the effect of the FYP on TikTok and algorithms. These apps are so focused on engagement and novelty that it doesn’t matter who you follow. You’re incentivized to just keep scrolling.

One thing I didn’t expect from making YouTube vids was to get IG followers. I had my first video do mildly well and so many people followed me on IG. Crazy how YT can connect you to your real audience better than the app where you show your actual work. youtu.be/pDBourX6V1M?si…
